Let’s face it, that last 10 pounds can seem impossible. I’ve been there with a number of my clients, and it requires some real motivation to see your weight loss goals through.

But losing that last 10 pounds also requires a little strategy. Today, we’re taking a look at how to lose that last 10 pounds and finally reach your weight loss goals.

So no matter what you’re doing or where you’re at, listen up. These simple tips are going to help you achieve serious success.

5 Simple Strategies for Achieving Weight Loss Success

1. Intensify Your Cardio Routine

Cardio is an important factor in any weight loss fitness plan, as it can shed a ton of calories and fat. But to really finish things off and lose those last 10 pounds, you need to get intense about it. Take your running outdoors, get off the elliptical and into a spin class, or better yet, try high intensity interval training (HIIT). HIIT is an easy way to burn off a ton of fat in a short period of time and give your metabolism a serious boost. It’s all about short bursts of intense total body exercises.

2. Change Up Your Weight Training

Along similar lines is the importance of changing up your weight training routine to shred that last 10 pounds. Change is the best way to get you out of a plateau and back into seeing real results. Remember, building lean muscle mass is the best way to enhance your metabolism long term.

3. Add a Thermogenic to Your Diet

Thermogenics are any foods that rev up your metabolism and get your body burning more calories and fat. There are some serious thermogenics out there, and what’s great is that they’re completely natural. Here are some simple foods that can help you lose those last 10 pounds quickly and safely:

  • green tea (or matcha green tea)
  • other teas and coffee (watch the cream and sugar)
  • spices like cayenne pepper and chili powder
  • ginger root
  • garlic and herbs
