One of the main reasons people cant stick to diets for very long is because they don’t see results as fast as they want to.
They stick to a diet for a week or two, don’t see measurable results, get upset, and then decide to try something else.
If you truly want to lose weight, gain muscle, and achieve the physique you have always wanted, you have to make sure your expectations are in check.
One thing that most people don’t understand is that you will have a very hard time seeing any difference in your appearance by just looking in the mirror. Little changes happen everyday, and the more you look at yourself, the more used to it you will get and you will not see the results you are getting.
To get around this, it is a good idea to take a picture of yourself and take your measurements before you start your diet. Measure your neck, stomach, legs, anything you want – and record the numbers. Then, a week or two into the diet, take another picture and take more measurements.
Keep on doing this on a weekly basis, and if what you are doing is working, you will be able to see results. If you are not seeing the changes you want to see, you can change up your routine based on the empirical data you have accumulated.
Generally speaking, it can take up to a month for any noticeable changes in measurements to occur so don’t get discouraged that easily. Everyone’s different, and some people just take longer before they show fat loss or muscle gain.
The most important thing is that you don’t give up and keep a positive attitude. If you do that, there is no way you can fail.
