Fitness Trends of 2013

Over the years, I’ve realized an important lesson when it comes to staying fit and healthy. And it’s pretty simple – you have to keep learning.

The truth is, the fitness industry is constantly developing, and it’s heavily influenced by advances in nutrition and health sciences. It’s important to stay up to speed with all this new information, and to be aware of the biggest fitness trends.

But there’s a lot to wade through, and some trends are nothing more than fads. So today, I’m reviewing the top 5 fitness trends of this year. If you’re looking for a new strategy to implement in your own health and fitness routine because you are noticing a lack of results, give one of these a try today and I bet that you will notice those pounds come dropping off again and better muscle definition.

5 Health & Fitness Trends of 2013

1. CrossFit

This year, I’ve seen an explosion in the number of people trying CrossFit. It’s become the standard approach for boot camp workout programs, and it’s been offering some killer results in terms of both lean muscle growth and weight loss. If you don’t know much about it, CrossFit is a fitness strategy that really focuses on full body exercises that are performed under time constraints (often with a stop watch) to really push you beyond your everyday limits.

2. Vegan Sport Nutrition

As vegan and vegetarian lifestyles become more popular, there’s been a growing pressure on the fitness industry to offer vegan options that also meet the demands of an active lifestyle.
