Stress Nutrition
The money-crunching season is upon us and many of us are feeling stressed. Stressed so much that all our guidelines are thrown out the window. Just reading this article is something that will change your mind set for a long time to come (so you may want to bookmark it and just skim through it any time you are feeling stressed and out of control with your nutrition).

I dedicated two entire articles to Junk Food and Overeating but this one is going to target right at the heart of what we need to consciously be aware of when we’re stressed the f*** out!

I don’t think it needs to be rewritten that these days we are consumed with interruptions – email, phone, text messaging, our colleagues walking into our office, etc. It happens to everyone and it’s time to put our foot down on what we can take control of.

These things all stress us out and when we’re stressed out we make bad decisions. This is especially the case when it comes to how we treat our bodies – our nutrition, our exercise routine, our sleep.

So what happens when all these things are compromised? We start to lose focus on our goals for the most important person in your world – you! Ok, this isn’t supposed to sound selfish, it’s just reality.

Even if you are a star humanitarian helping people, you are not as efficient and intelligent if you aren’t taking care of yourself first. Agree?

Good! So it’s time to take control. And the only way you can do this is by setting daily goals for yourself. Here’s the first thing you do when you wake up. Write down 5 of the most important things you need to get done today.

Now when you’re ready to get to it, turn off your phone, your email and close your door and ask not to be interrupted for at least an hour at a time. This may sound easy but your mind will do every possible thing to get out of this incredibly powerful strategy.

You know why? Because we have been conditioned to be on demand almost all the time. But the reality is that you aren’t being as efficient as possible with your time if you don’t get the most important things done and out of the way each day.

I don’t know how this became a self-help article but it just goes hand in hand with your stress levels and I challenge you to refute it.

Now let’s get back on track with Stress Nutrition. When we’re stressed we forgot to drink water, we end up drinking lots of coffee (because our energy levels are depleted from improper nutrition) and we can’t control our cravings for fast foods, and junk snacks.

So what do you when you know already know this is going to be a somewhat stressful day? You take 2 minutes at the beginning of the day to prepare and remind yourself that you need to take care of yourself first.

Recommended Product:
Optimum 100% Whey Protein, 5 Lbs., Double Rich Chocolate

Pack some healthy snacks like almonds, fruit, veggies (carrots, broccoli, celery), and your most powerful weapon against weight gain – whey protein powder. Of course remember to take your water bottle too, you should be drinking water throughout the day.

Have you ever tried this? If not, well now you have discovered for yourself a very powerful mind set. You have taken two minutes to control your nutrition during stressful times and you won’t be able to help yourself from feeling empowered by this!

Below are some supplements I recommend you have on hand during stressful times:
