Healthy Fat Loss Diet

With so many diet plans and conflicting messages out there it’s hard to know what to follow in order to make sure you are still losing fat and reaching your optimal health level at the same time.

That is why I thought I’d write up another article on what you need to make sure you include in your healthy diet and show some example days of strategies that work for those who are really invested in fat loss.

The trick will be to run through some fundamental additions to your diet other than just what you eat to make sure you get the best results. So let’s put it all together…

Healthy Fat Loss Diet Structure and Sample Plans

To make a fat loss diet that really works I would suggest going quite strict for at least 4-6 weeks to get your body to burn through the fat and then coupling an advanced workout plan along with a little more liberal nutrition plan which still allows you to have some fun with what you are ingesting.

It should be a no-brainer by now that the first part of your healthy fat loss diet should have you eliminating all white starches including white bread, sugary cereals or sugary instant oatmeal packets, bagels/muffins, white rice and especially anything in the chips/rice cakes department.

We can go for more nutrition packed items and pay special attention to sugar or carb content per serving of foods we intake, a general rule of thumb is to avoid more than 40 grams of carbs in one serving. If it has more it is usually from sugar or poor carb sources that won’t allow you to lose fat easily.

Now with fat consumption, we want to eliminate fatty cheeses, unnecessary oils (like for instance in may or salad dressings) and instead replace with a smaller and moderate intake of natural organic butter, olive oil and of course Omega 3 fatty acid sources like fish and flax seeds.

With this in mind, I would make sure to include an Omega 3 supplement like AllMax Nutrition Omega 3 at least a couple times a day to make sure you are getting the right amount of essential fatty acids for optimal cardiovascular and cognitive ability. Remember at the end of the day we want to make sure we have a HEALTHY fat loss diet and supplementing with Omega 3’s will ensure that we do.

Let’s look at a couple sample daily plans that we can follow:

Healthy Fat Loss Diet Plan 1:

Meal 1: 3 egg whites, 1 grapefruit, and a chocolate protein smoothie (try: Gaspari Nutrition Myofusion for the best chocolate flavour I have tasted thus far.)

Meal 2: 1 cup grapes and 1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt

Meal 3: flaxseed toast sandwich with turkey breast, veggies and mustard

Meal 4: half a handful of walnuts and a protein smoothie

Meal 5: 1/2 cup quinoa, 1 fillet of salmon/halibut, steamed broccoli and carrots

Meal 6: vanilla protein smoothie (try: Optimum 100% Natural Whey, very nice vanilla flavour with a smooth creamy texture and almost not fat).

Healthy Fat Loss Diet Plan 2:

Meal 1: reduced sugar oatmeal, half a cup frozen berries, vanilla protein smoothie (try: Optimum 100% Natural Whey, very nice vanilla flavour with a smooth creamy texture and almost not fat).

Meal 2: 1 apple

Meal 3: whole wheat wrap with non-fat ham, veggies and mustard

Meal 4: banana and a protein smoothie

Meal 5: 1/2 cup black beans, 1 fillet of chicken breast, grilled mushrooms, red peppers and onions

Meal 6: vanilla protein smoothie (try: Optimum 100% Natural Whey, very nice vanilla flavour with a smooth creamy texture and almost not fat).

I hope you find these meal plans as good structures to follow, they are quite similar in that they include lots of protein, good quality carbs and fairly low fat allowing your body to strip fat week by week.

If you find that you want to increase your metabolism even more then you may wan to consider one of these thermogenic supplements:

There you have it, slow and steady wins the race where your goal should be to lose about 1-2lbs a week to allow your body and skin to adapt gradually as you drop the excess weight.
