As a fitness instructor I can say with certainty this is one of the best sites that I have come across. Sam gives great advice in the 5 day mini course, stressing the importance of both healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle, ways to boost your metabolism, and excellent advice on maximizing your workouts. I have passed on the advice to participants in my classes and since the new year I have had people tell me they are already seeing results. Ive also changed the workouts in my classes and that has proved very helpful. I'm looking forward to seeing more results in myself as time goes by. I consider myself in pretty decent shape but even us instructors plateau sometimes so this has has helped me switch things up. Thanks and will definetely comment more as the year goes by and I see more results! :)

HI Tenaj and Laura_lea. Thanks for your posts. Hopefully you have found the articles and weight training programs on the web site helpful. Have either of you tried the 5 day course I offer through the site?

Well, I consider myself pretty healthy. But I am also very busy with school and keeping my house clean. Trying to get good marks in school though, requires a lot of time spent in doing homework. My question is....How can I eat healthy (with a low budget), lose weight and get in shape? I am trying to lose about thirty lbs...I had lost ten, but I gained six back over the holidays, even though I limited myself more than I usually do. I just recently had a old treadmill given to me, so I try to run or walk on it every day, but is so hard to find the time to be healthy. I eat pretty healthy as it is, with little junk food--I probably have junk food maybe once or twice a month. I get most of my carbs from fruit and vegetables as opposed to from grains and such. I just want ot lose the weight and keep it off forever. Plus I want to get into the army reserves come the summer time...so I need to get really fit in preperation for their fitness test. Could you maybe post some fitness regemins that don't require you to go to a gym...cuz I can't get to one. I need to be able to run 6 kilometers by May, and I can't even run one without getting winded. and I need to be able to do a minimum of 3 chin ups, 5 pushups, etc. I cannot even pull myself up an inch to do a chin up (I am female, 21 years old). Please help...and thank you very much!

Just wondered what suggestions you have for menopausal women and weight loss. I should add that I teach 4-6 aerobic classes (Les Mills) weekly, but since hitting menopause have seen I have picked up 10 pounds that I am now working towards leaving behind. I know the body goes through a lot of changes and this is to be expected, but I'd like to be the exception and not the rule! Suggestions are welcomed!
