Hey Sam,<br>I'm starting to get really motivated just to better myself. There have been countless of times that I have tried diets, exercise, but I always give up. I found this website while surfing and it is really helpful. Thanks for all the articles Sam! They really work, I have already seen results and my friends are noticing them too. Thank you!

Definitely April, a real bike can even be better, just make sure to increase intensity a little each time and you're going to see pretty killer results.

You're awesome, really appreciate you sharing the site with your friends and family and I'm hoping the new Online Personal Trainer Membership will be something quite extra-ordinary! Thanks again, you're a rockstar in my books!

Sam,

Is a real bike vs. the bike machine good enough. I do not have a membership to a gym as I live in an extremely small town and.... we don't have one near enough to be worth paying to go.

I have already told a lot of my friends and family about this site, it is doing wonders for me in a very short time. I have also just signed up for your Online Personal Trainer Membership and I am very excited and looking forward to it.

Again, thank you so very much

Hi April, thanks for the great feedback, glad you have found this health blog, hopefully you can share it with your friends and family so we can continue to grow this great community! To be honest, it's not really sufficient to replace cardio with that. My best suggestion would be to try using the bike machine, that is good to build joint support as well as swimming if you can get that in. Let me know how that goes ok?

Sam,

I stumbled onto your site about a week ago and found it extremely informative, so I decided to jump in and follow your advice.

I have managed to be able to incorporate everything into my daily routine except when it comes to jogging/sprinting. Though I would love to be able to do this, I have some problems with my ankles that keep me from doing anything high impact.

I do have a cardio workout video that raises and lowers my heart rate as well as incorperating small weights and core work. Is this sufficient enough to replace the jogging/sprinting or would you suggest another alternative?

Thank you very much for you time and insite

Hi Mike,

It really depends on your goals and how fast you are doing a 6k run. With a 6k run the ultimate goal would be to increase your endurance and you may also notice some fat loss. But if you focused on interval training with a shorter more intense run of about 2km then you are going to see more results with fat burning. If you are doing this intense enough at the end of 2km you should be completely done!

Hi Sam,

Can you work interval training into a longer a say a 6k run with out it being overkill or diminishing your returns? Or would it be better to stick with a higher intensity interval training over a shorter period of time. I do next to no cardio in the gym (except maybe to warm up, and only if I haven't rode my bike there) and would like to try interval training on my off days, which usually includes a 6 k run.

In my opinion high intensity interval training gives you the best of both worlds. It allows you to burn body fat while still maintaining or even building muscle mass. Not only that, but when you combine H.I.I.T. principles with full body kettle bell or dumbbell exercises you can burn fat at an amazing rate!

Hi Sam!

Love this article. Gives me some motivation!

My biggest downfall is diet. I've had a search through your website to see if you have written any articles about the best dieting ideas etc but may have missed it? Are you able to please provide me with the best place to look?

It really doesn't help that I am a super fussy eater, I like to stick to things that I KNOW will taste good, which makes it hard to follow recipies! :(

Thanks in advance

Hi Kourtney, this is a pretty big problem area for a lot of women. As far as I've read there is no easy solution or magic cream for reducing cellulite other than reducing your body fat. I will look into this more and see if I can write up an entire article about it. For now take the advice of this article and add some interval training to see if it will help. Also how is your diet? Pay close attention to that as well. Let us know how it comes along ok? Be patient and stay determined!

I have a question. I am very passionate about working out via weight training and I also run 8-10 kms 3 times per week. I have goals and dreams with my body and I have noticed a difference but I suffer from one thing I need help with. I have cellulite and I am not sure if it possible to burn that type of fat? Any suggestions? It's just under my butt and of course like most women my trouble area is my thighs and butt! Im not over weight but really am self concious about this cellulite Im storing for a winter day I guess!! Thanks so much
