What an important article to read! Myself and my husband have been trying to follow this... but over the past month and a half we have fallen off the wagon.... we seem to have lost our motivation. However, being chronic snackers, this plan will obviously work. It's the food itself that we need to change, instead of snacking on crackers, or chips (gasp), we are now choosing veggies, fruit, granola, yogurt. We want to make this our lifestyle, and not another "diet", and this article has solidified our belief! thank you for sharing!!!!!

Hi Shalbe, great question. It will carry, but I recommend that you don't mix it until just before drinking it. So if you're going to add water or milk, just take that along in a separate bottle.

Why protein is great to have between meals to prevent that shaky/weak fealling you get and will be a major boost to your weight loss efforts as it will curb your craving for unhealthy foods.

Let us know how it goes!

Ok...I just threw away a tub of protein powder because I didn't use it. If I'm going to use this stuff, I need to have something that's easy to mix and carry. It looks as if the whey protein you recommend at the top of the list will mix easily. Will it carry? For instance, if I mix it up in the early morning and carry it until 10 or 11 o'clock, will it still taste good and be ok to drink?
One of the things that I cannot deal with is the shaky/weak feeling between meals. This sabotages my weight-loss efforts repeatedly. Will this stuff stop that?

Very practical. Thanks for this.

I find, in the long run, the best solution is to have a list of fun things to do that don't involve food hanging on the fridge. If you keep looking in the fridge are you looking to "add some flavor to your life?"

People overeat to feel better fast, but the satisfaction from food is brief. A good belly laugh with a friend, a bubble bath or an exciting day on the town, all of these things are ultimately more satisfying. Are you living to eat and what would it take to change that?
