Excellent, thanks for your feedback KB! Bananas are a great pre-workout snack especially when they are ripe or just a little over-ripe they will provide a big energy boost!

I've been on a low GI diet for about 8 months now but I discovered that if I don't eat some foods that aren't part of my 'allow' list I was getting muscle cramps after I worked out. So while I usually stick to my list of low GI foods I have incorporated milk products and fruits that are high on the GI index into my diet.
For eg - bananas aren't allowed but I eat one before I go for my strength training as it gives me the boost of energy I need to be able to work out well.
All in all this diet is working for me but it's difficult to be able to find variety to eat if I'm eating out.
