Fubar Train Insane Product Review

Many of you have asked me to start doing more detailed product reviews so I thought I’d start giving it a shot. The first product I’m going to review is developed by a Canadian company that is making waves around the globe with the high quality of their training supplements.

The company is called Fusion BodyBuilding and the product is called Fubar (you may remember hearing about Fusion Bodybuilding in my recommendation of their Creatine product – Purple K). Before going any further I’d like to mention that although they are a bodybuilding supplement company the benefits of their products actually go quite hand in hand for anyone, men or women looking to boost their workouts. So what exactly is inside Fubar’s orange capsules? Let’s take a look.

Ingredients Listing for Fubar:

Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea)
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine
Caffeine Anhydrous
Yerba Mate
Caco Bean

And what does Fusion BodyBuilding claim that Fubar will do for you?

Product claim for Fubar:

FUBAR™ is the badass orange capsule you take before hitting the gym. This pre-workout complex jacks up your energy levels and cranks your muscle motivation so you can focus on building dense, striated muscle. As a serious bodybuilder, you know the secret to building a champion physique — it’s hard work. Taking FUBAR will keep you working hard through every rep — there are no excuses.

A Closer Look at Fubar:

Ok, so let’s first take a look at the ingredient listing. Anything in here that is unnatural, chemically produced or controversial in scientific results? The answer is simply no! I truly believe that is one of the biggest reasons Fusion BodyBuilding is so successful. They pay very close attention to every single ingredient in their products. There is no bull nor cheap ingredients which have shady science behind them.

Cameillia Sinensis is a natural caffeine source from green tea that causes a sustained increase in energy as well as being a potent antioxidant (which is important for combating the oxidative stress conditions from working out).

N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine is a precursor to the admin acid L-Tyrosing which has been shown to increase the levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine responsible for getting you focused, energized and strong.

Caffeine Anhydrous is the strongest and fastest acting from of caffeine stimulating your central nervous system and increasing your energy levels and performance.

Yerba Mate comes from a powerful South American plant which provides a different form of caffeine – the alkaloid kind (i.e. basic rather than acidic). As well as increasing your energy levels and fat burning, Yerba Mate also is a powerful antioxidant protecting you against the damage by free radicals.

Cacao, is a caffeine relative which provides longer term energy highs and allowing for explosive and intense training.

My Personal Review of Fubar:

I hope the above info shed some light on this powerful supplement. An assortment of caffeine ingredients is a major component of the effectiveness of this product and if you haven’t yet you definitely should read my article on Effects of Caffeine.

Nevertheless, my experience with Fubar has been quite favorable and I see why Fusion BodyBuilding has coupled it with the words “Train Insane”. On days when you have slept really bad the night before or are feeling way too sluggish to get into the gym, this supplement can give you that energy boost which can turn things around quite dramatically.

The ingredients are quite impressive because they don’t cause you the major jittery or heart palpitation like feeling you get from other energy supplements or drinks.

Some advice when taking Fubar, make sure to take it several hours before bedtime to keep it from affecting your sleep. Always do your best to rest well, eat properly and not become dependent on caffeine as the only way to get your butt in the gym. In fact, when taking supplements like this make sure to give your body a break for at least 2 weeks before buying another bottle.

My experience with Fubar is that it will help you train hard, push yourself to the next level and get quite a pump from your workouts. I speak regularly with the owners of this company and have gotten to know that they really care about the quality of their products and the feedback that they get from their customers.

Sam, did you ever find this product caused stomach upset/pain? I’ve found this with some caffeine supplements. Or maybe I have an over-sensitive stomach. :S

  2. Sam on February 10th, 2009 3:11 pm

HI Craig, that’s a great question. I too have found that most caffeine supplements can cause quite a bit of stomach discomfort. Then I discovered T2′s which was the old version of Fubar. The best thing about it is the feeling that you get like your metabolism is shooting through the roof with Fubar and you get quite a pump.

I personally haven’t had any stomach discomfort, but you got to remember to not take it on a completely empty stomach either. Start out with just 1 and see how it affects you.

One thing about Fubar that may make a difference is the alkaline caffeine may balance out the acidity of the usual caffeine. Let us know what you experience.

    Hi Sam,

I’m so curious to try out Fubar. I can’t right now because I’m on creatine. I hear caffeine and creatine cancel each other out. That’s why cratine in coffee is a no-no.

I heard about people getting stomach pains on creatine as well. Mostly because they don’t work out as much as they should be. If the skeletal muscles aren’t working, then the creatine goes right to the stomach muscles and cramps them up.

Any of this sound plausible to you?

  4. Sam on March 12th, 2009 9:50 am

Hi Carma, that’s right it’s recommended Caffeine and Creatine are not taken together at the same time, you can space it out though. For instance, creatine on your weight training days, and caffeine on your cardio days. This kind of variation is always good anyway to keep your body from gettig used to one thing.

I haven’t heard of creatine going straight to the stomach and causing cramps if it is not used up. That wouldn’t make sense because the creatine will first have to be absorbed into your system through your stomach and large intestine before your body can use it. People who experience cramps should reduce the recommended dosage and slowly build up to allow their bodies to get used to the amount. It’s also a good idea to have creatine with some fruit as the sugars help with the uptake.
