Cutting Body Fat Diet

One of the most important questions I get is about how to cut body fat quickly, and although exercising is one of the most critical factors, your diet is even more integral to giving you killer results.

You will want to use this as an outline for your daily nutrition plan and make slight adjustments based on your body weight, energy levels and goals, but don’t worry I’ll provide guidance for you along the way.

Some important things to remember is that you first should have a clear concept in mind when you are cutting body fat. You need to remember that your calorie expenditure needs to be more than your calorie intake. Don’t get caught up in counting calories though, that will take you down the wrong path.

Instead just remember that when cutting body fat that means you won’t be able to increase muscle mass at the same time simply because increase muscle mass will require the opposite – an excess of calorie coming in.

Now let’s get to the diet…

Cutting Body Fat Diet: Nutrition Plan

Meal 1:
6 egg whites
2 table spoons salsa
1/4 cup raw oats
1 protein smoothie with frozen blueberries and low carb whey protein (Try: Optimum 100% Natural Whey or Gaspari Nutrition Myofusion)
Omega 3 fish oil supplement (Try: NOW Ultra Omega-3 or AllMax Nutrition Omega 3
1 multi-vitamin (Try: Optimum Opti-Women or Optimum Opti-Men)

Meal 2:
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup reduced-fat Greek Yogurt

Meal 3:
6oz grilled chicken breast
1 cup quinoa
1 cup steamed brocolli
1/4 cup carrots

Meal 4 – Pre-workout:
1 protein smoothie
1/2 cup raw oats
1/2 banana
1 cup pre-workout energy matrix (Try: USPLabs Jack3d or SuperPump 250)

Meal 5 – Post Workout:
1 protein smoothie
1/2 cup raw oats
Amino Acids (BCAA and Glutamine) for muscle recovery (Try: Scivation Xtend or Muscle Pharm Recon)

Meal 6:
1 filet grilled salmon
1 cup steamed asparagus and red bell pepper
1 cup brown rice or quinoa

Meal 7:
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese or 1 casein protein hot chocolate (Try: Optimum 100% Casein Protein or Optimum 100% Natural Casein)
1 tbsp natural peanut butter

Sleep Enhancing Muscle Recovery Drink:

There you have it, a pretty comprehensive total nutrition plan including lean meals and snacks as well as all the supplements to make sure you are getting all the daily requirements and ensuring that your muscles are fed the nutrients they need to recover and grow.

Now in respect to the daily requirements of the amount of food you need, obviously this is going to vary depending on your sex, age and body type. Thus you will need to give this a go and be very aware of your energy and hunger levels.

In other words, if you notice that your energy levels are dropping at some point during the day then you will want to increase the size of the meals proportionately. The good news is that you can keep the body fat down by adding veggies and fruit as they are also high in fiber.
