Can You Lose Weight on Vacation?
Sounds like an oxymoron when you mix the words losing weight with vacation doesn’t it? Most of us feel like we’ve gained a lot of weight after coming back from a trip, but what if we were to turn this upside down right on it’s head? Stay with me here as this article may get you to look at things in a different perspective when your on vacation…
Firstly, you are on vacation and you are supposed to be slowing down right? That is after all why you have gone away isn’t it? Well this may not be the case if you’ve gone to New York or Las Vegas, but the principles I’m about to talk about can still hold their value if you treat them with respect. Regardless of where you are, vacations are a great time to catch up on sleep and this can help greatly in reducing your stress levels. In fact, I’ve already talked about how reducing your stress can help you lose fat (read my article on Stress Relief and Exercise if you haven’t done so already). So definitely take advantage of this time to slow down and enjoy life…the result is that your body will also shed fat if you do so.

How Healthy is Your Salad?
Salads are a great way to add tons of healthy vegetables full of essential vitamins and minerals to your diet. Unfortunately, the salad dressing and other toppings can also add a large amount of fat and unwanted sugars. Some things to watch out for include: added sugars (such as high fructose corn syrup), ‘bad’ oils (such as soybean and canola oil), and serving sizes.
With this in mind if you look at the ingredient listing of almost any salad dressing today you’ll notice they contain a large amount of these bad-for-your-tummy additives. So why not create our own salad dressings with healthy fresh ingredients?
Try the following tasty and quick to make salad dressings which can actually be a positive addition to your diet. ‘Good’ oils such as olive oil not only add flavour, but can actually help make the nutrients in your greens more accessible to your body. These delicious dressings will add extra zing to your salads while helping you keep up with your healthy lifestyle.

When is the Best Time to Exercise?
If you’re concerned about having a healthy lifestyle then you know that regular exercise is an important component of making you look and feel great. Exercise helps to rev up your metabolism and this is the most important factor in helping you lose fat and maintain your weight loss. But is one time of day better then another for exercising?
The answer is not as straight forward as you might think. Current research implies that slightly more fat is burned in the morning when a person exercises directly following the overnight fast. However, the low morning body temperature means that morning time has a naturally lower energy and blood flow resulting in a less intense workout.
